Chris Boardman

As a composer, arranger and orchestrator, today’s guest has had the opportunity to work on many of Hollywood’s more prominent films over the course of his career, as well as a host of television projects. He’s collaborated with the great Quincy Jones and James Newton Howard and if that’s not enough, he’s also a musical director for top pop acts, not to mention a talented keyboardist and writer for a jazz ensemble. He has a reputation in the Los Angeles music scene as musician that can literally write and compose any style of music. From his Academy Award nomination for his score for “The Color Purple” to garnering several Emmys for his work in television, his filmography is as impressive as it is extensive — and it continues to expand. Inside MusiCast is pleased to welcome Chris Boardman.

Jennie DeVoe

When Jennie DeVoe begins to sing, she leaves people mesmerized. It’s not only her sexy, bluesy, sultry and sometimes gritty voice that reminds you of a blend of Billie Holiday and Janis Joplin that captivates you, but her totally original musicianship has positioned her as an up-and-coming vocal star. Her predominantly acoustic blues-flavored style is peppered with the right combination of groove and lyrical painting that makes for a total performance that delivers a vibe that is nothing but cool. She even calls her own style “Americana-hippie-gospel-soul”. Join us as Jennie talks about her music, passions, world and the things that matter in her life. She might even bring her guitar along and perform a tune or two live on our PodCast. Inside MusiCast welcomes Jennie DeVoe.
