Crosby Loggins

Stepping Into His Own Light

You recognize the last name. And you’re right. Crosby Loggins is the son of singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins. Enough said, because apart from the obvious familial resemblance and a genetic gift for melody, this is not a simple story of a son following in his father's footsteps. He’s paving his own road through the creation of his very own style of music. Interestingly, he didn’t see music as something he had to do. Let’s just say that music found him. He started writing his own songs by the age of eight and later honed his skills at Colorado University and the Los Angeles Music Academy. He then began searching for something that he already had. But, it took him a few years to realize it and is happily heading straight into the family business. He’s an amazingly fresh artist who has something to say. And, it clearly comes through in his music. Inside MusiCast is happy to welcome Crosby Loggins.

Just wanted to let you guys know what a stand up guy Crosby Loggins is. I'm a huge Kenny Loggins fan and last year two people in the fan club put together a Reunion for us. It was at the Hollywood Bowl performance. Part of the package was a private concert with Crosby and his band. Well, things fell through but, Crosby, Paul and I forget the other band memember's name, but they performed for us in a Hotel Suite. It was so AWESOME! I'd just seen them perform that past December, they opened up for Kenny. It was an amazing experience. They sounded so great even in this little suite. He is a very, very nice guy. He stayed and talked to all of us, took pictures. Just a really down to earth guy. I wish great things for him.

Great interview.

Georgia

Georgia,
Thanks so much for your comments. It must have been a real treat to meet him close up and hang with him and the band. He WAS a delight to interview and his down-to-earth honesty came through clearly. He sounds like a young man that knows where he is in life and in music. Can't wait for the release of the album. Again, glad you enjoyed the podcast.

Eddy:

Cindy, we're also looking forward to the album. I think he's going to be big. He commands not only a unique vocal ability, but his writing seems to have a genuine transparency and honesty that will surely attract listneners. His sound doesn't sound "fabricated"....is that the word? Well, anyway, thanks for the comments. If you're a Chicago fan, stay tuned for Robert Lamm...it's a good one!

Hey there! This was a great interview! Today was the first time I've heard it and I'm glad that you guys' found out about this great artists. He's one of the few new quality talented artists out there these days...

Great work guys!

Saw him at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival as a "tweener". He was great! He definitely got some attention.

Hey Guys,

Just thought I'd take a moment to stop by and thank you for being such stand up "radio personalities". They are even harder to come by these days than stand up musicians - which is sayin' something:).

Thank you to everyone who has tuned in to my interviews, and all of those who have gone out and bought the record. I truly enjoyed speaking with Rick and Eddy, and truly appreciate all of the support my fans have offered me during the first week of sales (which went very well!). Keep spreading the word as everything about what we're doing promotionally is based on fans and fans alone - the only thing sacred left in the music business!! My very best goes out to you all...

Very Sincerely,
Crosby Loggins
