Our guest has been blessed with one of the most distinctive voices in the music industry. His stand-out lead-vocals for the rock group Ambrosia have left impressionable hits in our minds over the years such as, Biggest Part of Me, How Much I Feel, Holding on to Yesterday, and You’re The Only Woman. Over his hit-packed career, he has continued to write and produce for diverse artists such as Brian McKnight, Michael McDonald, Natalie Cole, Patti LaBelle, Brian Setzer, Andre Crouch, Take 6, Bruce Hornsby, Chick Corea, Trisha Yearwood, Linda Ronstadt and others. Recently, he released his long-awaited new solo album, The Secret of Movin On on Concord/Peak records, highlighting vocal collaborations with Journey frontman Steve Perry, Heart’s Nancy Wilson, the Eagle’s Timothy B. Schmidt, and Dewey Bunell of America. It’s a definite must get album. We’re glad to welcome David Pack, our first guest of the new year, to Inside MusiCast.

Thanks for your post. Honestly, after spending time with David, I didn't get the impression that he was full of himself. I also felt that David was open to all of the questions we had for him. There were a couple of times during the interview where it seemed as though he couldn't hear us, but other than that he was very accomodating. The fact that he was so willing to chat with us extensively about his successes, as well as his falling out with Ambrosia was very open and honest. In any case, I appreciate that you have taken the time to listen to Inside MusiCast and to express your thoughts here.

thanks for explaining. i've never heard any other interviews with david pack. this one just seemed very one-sided compared to your interviews with other musicians. i really enjoy the ones with more friendly back & forth conversation. keep up the good work!

Thanks Rick and Eddy. David will always have a special place in my heart. I've bought his last CD on the day it was released and I like what I hear. Love his work with Ambrosia - not only the first two LPs - Road Island has its magic moments, too. Especially his Songs of the West Side Story is a must-have for every music lover - a cornerstone.
But this interview leaves me back happy and confused at one time. Don't know how to explain my feelings about it. Must sort my thoughts first... more maybe later.
David is a class act. And I think he knows exactly where he's pointing. I like that. At the same time, I feel that there was more for Ambrosia but it didn't get the chance. So it is in the world of the music biz. As to a talent, he's amazing. I DO like the new project. It actually grows on you the more you listen to it. Thanks for the comments.
I just want to say I really enjoyed hearing what David had to say. I have been a fan for decades. I have seen Ambrosia a few times and I saw David at the Coach House with Melvin Davis and Oscar Seaton. Great Show! As a longtime fan I have always wanted to just sit and talk with David and many other
artists. This Musicast website is a great way to hear the artists express themselves.

Darren, you're right about the CHATTING experience with these type of artists. When you're actually hearing them talk, you can hear their intonations, mood, vibe and all of that stuff....really makes you feel that your a part of it, right? I think many of our listeners would rather hear the interview than read it...you get so much more out of it. That's what makes our show a little different. Thanks for the comments. EC

david pack's musical contributions are impressive, but he's kind of full of himself, isn't he? he spent so much time tooting his own horn in this podcast, rick & eddy could barely get a word in edge-wise.
